Worked from the top down, this shawl incorporates each of the four seasons interpreted in cables and lace. The beginning starts out with the bare branches of Winter, moves into the budding leaves of Spring and Summer and lastly the falling leaves of Autumn.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Length: 60 inches from end to end.
Width: measures approx 28 inches at the widest point of center.
MATERIALS
- The Fibre Company Cumbria [60% Merino, 30% Wool, 10% Mohair; 238 yd/218m per 100g skein]; color: Scaffell Pike; 5 skeins or approx 975 yards of a worsted weight wool or wool blend. Alternate yarn: Cascade Yarns 220
- 1 60" US8 / 5 mm circular needle
- Cable needle
- Tapestry needle
GAUGE
18 sts / 24 rows = 4" / 10 cm in Stockinette st on US8 / 5 mm needles or size needed for accurate gauge.
